jason morehouse, president & chief executive officer
Mr. Morehouse is one of the founders of Solar Development Inc. Under the umbrella of Morehouse Investments, he has built a successful group of companies spanning various industries by leveraging his background as a commercial banker, with partners that bring extensive industry experience to a given business. Mr. Morehouse recognized the need for structured financing and unique tax structures as a means to successfully bring alternative energy to the markets as a viable product. In fact, he structured the debt facility for the first private commercial solar array to exceed 1 megawatt in California. In addition, Mr. Morehouse is involved in commercial real estate development, the hospitality industry, and hard money private lending. He is also the founder and a member of the board of directors for Community 1st Bank, serving the greater Sacramento area.
bob parkins, director of engineering
Bob Parkins brings over 30 years of energy-related engineering and project management experience to Solar Development Inc. He has extensive domestic and international experience as a project manager and supervisor in building design and construction with the Army Corps of Engineers. Mr. Parkins subsequently managed the Engineering and Construction Program in California for the U.S. Department of Energy, Western Area Power Administration (WAPA). Mr. Parkins also served as the solar photovoltaic (PV) expert for WAPA and a PV consultant to federal agencies. After his work at WAPA, Mr. Parkins started working as a PV consultant, instructing many PV workshops throughout the United States and has assisted numerous public and private clients by providing technical and program consulting services. Mr. Parkins implemented three Beta Test sites for research and development of PV components and helped develop three new PV products with Solar Development Inc. Mr. Parkins received his BS and MS in Civil Engineering from Stanford University, and is a registered Professional Engineer in California, a Certified Energy Manager, and a previous Director on the Board of Directors for the Solar Electric Power Association and Solar Cookers International.
karly mccrory, contracts & administrative manager
Ms. McCrory has worked in the solar industry since 2001, when she started as the Contracts Administrator for Schott Solar. At Schott, she managed the rebate funding process, drafted sales and installation contracts, served as the insurance and bonding liaison, developed policies for liens, contracts, and insurance, and performed many other services for large solar projects. Ms. McCrory started at Solar Development Inc. in 2005, where she is primarily responsible for managing contracts and incentive funding, as well as the accounting, marketing, and general administration for Solar Development Inc. Ms. McCrory has a B.A. in Sociology with a minor in Communication from the University of California at Davis.
bruce morehouse, sales manager
Mr. Morehouse has 35 years of experience as a sales consultant and manufacturing representative for various specialty items. He joined Solar Development Inc. in 2005 as sales representative for the Southwest Region. Mr. Morehouse enjoys helping commercial property owners and tenants throughout the Southwest Region take advantage of the benefits of solar energy, including reducing their power costs, locking-in guaranteed lower rates for the future, benefiting from the current rebates and tax credits, or taking advantage of the "no-money-out-of-pocket" power purchase and leasing agreements. Mr. Morehouse is happy to meet with anyone in the Southwest Region to do a site inspection and discuss the benefits of solar power generation.
