roseville civic center

project overview
Incorporated in 1909, the City of Roseville, CA is home to one of the nation's largest solar communities, and Roseville Electric's green energy program, Green Roseville, was nationally recognized for being in the Top 10 in the nation for its percentage of retail energy sales.

In 2006 Solar Development, Inc. was chosen via competitive bid by the City of Roseville to design and install high-profile solar arrays at Silverado Middle School and the Roseville Civic Center.

Completed in February 2007, the Civic Center array is a 17.4 kilowatt (DC) system installed on the Civic Center roof using a penetrationless mounting system. Solar Development, Inc. carried out the project management and design, and supervised the installation, completing the project on-time and on-budget.

The environmental benefit of the solar electric generation system is equivalent to taking 22 cars off the road for one year or planting more than 66,000 trees.
