leisuremax

project overview
To "live better" is the idea that has become the foundation of the LeisureMax philosophy. Custom built BBQ islands and carts, unique patio furniture, an enormous range of self-contained spas and beautiful hand-crafted billiard tables are just a sample of all the great leisure products that LeisureMax has to offer.

Faced with high electricity consumption due to display lighting and air conditioning costs at its retail store in Palm Desert, CA, LeisureMax turned to solar power generation and Solar Development, Inc. to offset these costs and guarantee a fixed price of electricity for over 25 years.

LeisureMax, Solar Development, Inc., and Southern California Gas Company worked together to finance the project, a 109 kW (DC) solar array, which was completed in April 2005. SoCal Gas contributed more than $400,000 to the project through the Self-Generation Incentive Program. By taking advantage of the SGIP rebate, as well as various solar tax incentives, LeisureMax was able to purchase the system outright, and has significantly reduced its monthly electricity costs.
